Gilberta Santana is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds a current License in the State of Texas to practice medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016. She has earned a Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice and a master’s degree in nursing science with specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner with the University of Texas at Arlington and Tyler respectively. Gilberta has been mentored by and worked alongside a well renowned Brazilian Family Doctor in Mesquite, TX for the last 7 years. She has also, briefly, worked for Baylor Scott and White at the Family Medical Center at North Garland as a family nurse practitioner. She has been working in healthcare since 2004. Gilberta speaks fluently and can serve patients in English, Spanish and Portuguese. She is a proud Garland resident where she lives with her husband and children, and she is looking forward to serving this community.
